coolhoods no glass

I have 2x magnum xxxl 8 inch hoods
Its winter and cold instead of swapping for euro shades can i just take the glass out and let it be.

Wont it be like a parabolic style shit ? Some guy told me if i run it without fans it would be dangerous and burn. But im sure thata if the glass is in there. .

Surely if i just took the glass out and kept my extraction fan on my carbon filter it wud be ok ??

I run my coolshades on a seperate vent and atm am just using the air to warm my attic space up. But i may aswel keep the heat in the tent as am at 20c in lights on ?
Id get more bare bulb.. but do i swap to euro or am i fine in my coolhoods without the glass in and no extoractor on the hood?

They have way better light spread than the euro shades

I have 3 8 inch raptor hood that I have run with out the extraction fan running and they still run fine.

Thats like the same as mine. Do you have any pics ? Id love to see how ya gor it all set up.

Dya have any fans blowing at them or anything ? Do they get hot i doubt it with the size lol

The hoods are fine with no fan running even with the glass in place.

yes you eill get some extra heat without the glass on them, ive done this with a cooler grow space

1 light on and 19 degrees atm

I used to take the glass out in the winter, it's just a metal shade.
I noticed a slight change in light intensity I've since learned all glass cuts light out.
