Ok..so I went from my nasty looking home-made reflector hood to buying this hurricane to make a cool tube. I have been looking for the thread about making them but can't seem to find it. I get the gist about most of it but am having trouble figuring out how to suspend the socket inside the glass.
If someone could tell me what those parts are called and how to assemble it...that would be great.
Also, as this hurricane is different sizes at different lengths, what would be the best way to secure the ducting. AND, do you guys think it would work properly if I just used it the way it is in picture 2? I would like to just have the tube but I wonder if I could just attach the tube with the existing grey holder. My idea was to make sure the grey 'socket holder' had holes in it, then I would just suck the air from the right side...maybe even leaving the hood. Hope that makes sense. All opinions are greatly appreciated.
