controlling mother plant's height

How do I control how tall my mother plants get? Currently they're at the height of my lights which I can't raise anymore. Do I crop them? Can I turn turn the vertical growth into girth?

have you topped it? May try some LST.

first off top the plant that will help alot. LST is light stress training. get some string and tie the plant down to grow outward instead of up

Low Stress Training. It is where you use string or whatever to tie down leaves etc on your plant so the internodes get more light

I thought that was for the flowering phase. Will it keep the mother plant from growing too tall?

can be done at anytime, and yes it will grow sideways if ya make it
