What's up my RIU brothers?

This is my 1st grow with a 1000w, and am still trying to get the indoor growing style down. (Filling out all of my space.) Had bad luck with female to male ratio and ended up with 4 plants, was hoping to have 6 at least.. besides that fact I've had a few minor problems.

#1 is heat, I have two 350 cfm fans, one cooling the hood and blowing the air into the attic and the other is exchanging air in my room. It is 90 degrees inside the tent and about 85 outside. Not looking good for the next two months. soon it will be 90-105 outside.
:wall:

#2 is a deficiency on my space bomb's.. looks like a potassium deficiency. From what I have heard, organics is very forgiving and the plant usually takes up the minerals/nutrients in the soil as needed. So if there is an abundance of Nitrogen it will only feed off it as it needs it. Does this mean I have a lack of potassium in my soil? Potassium should be available at a ph of 6.0-8.0 so I doubt that PH would be a problem.

Short on writing this , your help / criticism is much appreciated, thanks.

Try to draw the coolest air you can into your room & hood. Put the intakes at the bottom of the room and if your in an attic try finding a way to draw air from a cooler part of the house. Exhaust from the top of the room.

Exhausting hot air into an already hot area is just going to make it hotter out there and hotter in your room. Try exhausting the air outside or into another area.

Have a fan blowing at your hood. This will help with radiant heat issues causing all sorts of leaf problems.

You mention you have one fan exchanging air in the room? How are you doing this? Is the exhaust at the top of the room and the intake on the opposite side at floor level?

The fans are in another room bringing in cooler air. One fan is cooling the hood blowing air into the attic. The other is blowing air into the tent, but isnt dispersing it into the attic just out of the top of my tent. That might be my problem there.

Also, be careful about your attic heating up. Your house will glow like a beacon in the FLIR.

I was thinking about flowering at night. The problem is I am in veg 16/8 from 7 am to 11 pm. If I switched it to 11 pm to 11 am when I flip to the hps, I'm thinking it would stress them too much. Then again what would stress them more? Switching the light schedule once or 90-100 degree heat stress throughout flowering? Hmmm should've thought about this 2 months ago.

Dont blow air into the room. Put an exhaust fan at near the ceiling on one side, and cut a hole near the floor on the other side.

The negative pressure created by the exhaust will draw fresh air in through the "passive" intake port.

Having the exhaust at the top will help ensure that the hottest air is being exhausted and vice versa for the intake.

If you have a larger fan for the hood cooling (exhaust)
than the intake fan you will create the negative pressure. Exhaust all of
the air to the attic (or where ever you choose) but dont exhaust into the room
the tent is in.

Sounds like you are warming the room the tent is in with exhaust.
Try to sort out the pressure issue to keep the tent room cooler, if
that doesnt help much you will need to bring in cooler air with the fans.
Can you cool the fan room with ac?
