Conservative's thoughts on the 45th President

I’ve stopped (mostly) telling people I’m at heart and at root a conservative...I’m just an Eisenhower-era conservative which is completely different from the creatures who pass as “conservative” these days. These “ “modern” conservatives” are without history, without any real schooling, with no understanding of history...I blame church-schooling and church-based ‘homeschooling’. My very conservative rural county refuses to admit home-schooled or church-schooled hildren at “a grade-level” because (according to them) such children can barely read and write, and know virtually *nothing* about the world, current events, history, geography, etc...and those folks are not ANY kind of “liberal” at all. We schooled my girl at home for a year, she covered all of first and second-grade material, and we had to have her tested to have her admitted to public school. She entered public school in the third grade as a result of those tests...even though she had 11th grade reading, comprehension, and reasoning skills, and was in fact accelerated far beyond her age grade in all subjects....

Sad how a simple concept such as a conservative viewpoint has been so utterly fucked by agendas....
