Confusion over light temp (kelvin) quick question

I've got to run to the store shortly and pick up some flowering lights for my plants. I am aware that 2700k is the perfect colour temperature for flowering.. But do I necessarily HAVE to use CFL's, HPS's, or something of the like?

The reason being is that they've got a TON of bulbs that are super cheap and like 60w each, but they're the regular household bulbs (the rounded ones). Some say they are "COOL WHITE" and some say "SOFT WHITE". Do these really differ? The colour temperature on both says 2700k. Just different boxes/manufacturer's labelling stuff different. Can I not just get these? Or are those CFL/HPS/Lights the only ones you should use?

Also I've been seeing a lot of posts around here saying you can grow from seed to bud with any lights even 6500k and such.. I don';t know what to do. I have 8 CFL's currently @ 6500k each, and I need some lights for flowering, but if I don't need flowering lights I won't spend the money on them. Can I just use the other bulbs from lamps and stuff that are 2700k? How many watts do you need for 2 plants with flowering is it the same rule as vegging (100 per plant)? I was also going to still keep some of my 6500k CFL's under that I use for vegging during flowering because I heard this is good, is that true?

yes. yes you do. incandescent ("regular") light bulbs won't work. neither will halogens.

use as many lights as you can without overheating your grow space

use 6500k for vegging, 2700k for flowering
