Confusion about bulkhead / my pump size.

Hello,

I've gain a lot of knowledge from this forum and really hate that I have to ask this question without contributing first. Here goes though...

I've never grown anything before and I have all of my supplies on order and they are currently being shipped. I'm lacking only the bulkheads (I'm going hydroponics).

I paid for this pump:

My problem is, I don't know what size hose I'm going to need for it, therefor I don't know what size bulkhead to use. Maybe one of you have used this pump before and know what size the hose should be? I know I could just wait until it gets here then find out the size myself but I'd like to have the bulkheads on order and shipped as well so I can get started sooner than later.

Also, in the bulkhead kit, do I need to include the gasket (rubber washer) or is the default seal enough?

I Would Assume it to be a 5/8" OD 1/2" ID Tube Connection. But I may be wrong. And the tube just presses on. I've never had one slip off any of my pumps yet, but I'm Still a noob myself.

OD = outside diameter ?
ID = inside diameter ?
