I was wondering...I have a plant that is pretty close to harvest now, and I checked her soil...the Ph is almost topped off the acidity chart (it wasn't that way a month or so ago). I'm thinking that it is too late for a lime treatment, so I took some soil that I mixed to a high alkaline level, and dumped that soil on top of my highly acidic soil in the hopes that as I continue to water, the levels will balance out just a bit.
My main question is "is it a natural thing in all potted plants to raise soil acidity over time, or is it a question of my personal improper feeding"? Perhaps I put in too much Nitrogen???
The plant herself isn't sick looking, but the buds are not as thick as I think they should be by this point. Would a clear water flush be advised, or should I just suck it up and treat it with Lime water?
Final question, with a Ph of 3.5, can my plant get the nutrients she needs to finish her budding, or should I just suck it up and harvest now???
