Confused. Need a doctor please :]

I've tried to diagnose the problem but I just can't... sorry if I'm retarded.. I've been trying to keep this setup "KISS" and yeah.


All of my grow mediums are the same.. and I'm pretty sure I'm watering them about the same... but this plant's leaves are curling and the tips are turning black/dark blue. What's going on?

First and second pic is of the first plant.. third pic is of a plant roughly the same age under the same conditions.

I'm using just miracle grow as a medium.. and not using nutes with a 24/0 light cycle.

It is too hard to tell what is going on from those pics. Any chance of getting a better photo?

Miracle grow has time release nutes...

The wavy edges on the leaves are caused by overwatering or a pH problem, but most of the times it's overwatering.

Nutes in soils like miracle grow are released every time you water. So if you put these facts together (overwatering in a soil with nutes that are released each time you water) you get (tam tam da daaam) overfeeding. Your plant is suffering from N toxicity. The plant is getting too much N, but it's somehow managing it and turning it into tissue. Because of this the leaves are dark green and heavy.

Transplant into better soil, I understand that fox farm soil is good. You always want to control the amount of nutes your plant gets.

it originally was only two leaves perpendicular to eachother started curling black at the tips slightly.. now it's worse. I THINK it might be overwatering.. so I'm gonna let it get dry for a few days see if anything happens.

Okay Doctor Cannabis sounds like the exact advice I needed.

Stay clear of miricle grow it is bad for cannabis plants you want to be in total control of what is going into the plants.Get a feed like vita link or sensi plus advanced nutrients anything but not what you are feeding now.The leaves are curling because the strenth of the nutrients are either too strong for such a small plant or heat.I would transfer the plants into some good old compost with no additives at all and i think that you will see a differance within a week or so.

I completely agree with the PH problem. I have done a few grows with MG and havent had any issues that involved repotting tho...
The nutes are actually at the strongest point when the pot starts to dry out. Yes the water releases the nutes, but if there is any type of fan or breeze in the area the plant takes up water faster than nutes, so it leaves excess nutes behind as long as possible making the water it drinks stronger as there is less of it.
To prevent toxicity in MG, u just need to water to the point u get a cup of runoff, and then let them dry completely out and repeat. Look up Raiderman on here, he usees it and hes been growing for twenty years. In fact a lot of people still use it.
