confused about lights!

i bought 6x 100w 1650 lumens(but the box says that they only use 23w) so are they the worthless cfls?

they are perfect CFLs for growing. Many people use alot of 23w to cover a bigger area and give the plant 180* of light

well this was grown under only 4 23 watt cfls so depending on your grow space u should be good to go... good luck

you sholud be fine -those lights are great for growing weed but i myself use hps

thanks everyone. now heres another question could i use these to flower or would i be better off to go buy a different spectrum?

Sure thing, change to 2700K though.
Here is a sample of WW grown under cfl.

Those look like 2700K bulbs, which you would use to flower. It's the 6500K daylight spectrum bulbs that you need to veg.
