so buying my condutive tape and i saw the non conductive tape and almost baught it, whats the difference like ?
on ledg he says to get the conductive tape, so i will,

but i wondered not as i see non condutive ... wouldnt u want it to not conduct on the tape ? whats the purpose and other ones purpose? as both are listed for leds

Thermal Adhesive Tape 30mm by 25M, Thermally Conductive Tape
Thermal Adhesive Tape 30mm by 25M, non Thermally Conductive Tape

didnt question it but logic tells me the non conductive should be the choise? i know it isnt as everyones using the guide and not seen any problems lol

Before you go ahead with choosing tape I would check out the strips a bit, are the ends with a tendency to bend upwards? This happened on my vesta build and again on the EB 2 footers; the copper in the topside can make give them a tendency to bend up the ends which means the ends lift up from the tape. I ended up securing vesta with screws after trying about everything and for the ebs I glued them. Check it out before committing to tape cause you might have to plan some screws anyways.

im with the 4ft gen 3 non slim Z board buddy so thats cool,
i was buying tape cause the guide said to, wasnt aware of any other options just copiying what many seem to do, as i said ive no clue what the non conduct vs condutive tape is... i just was buying them for the guide said too, hehe 'gulp' following the trend haha

the rolls of tape id need are £35 for all my strips so by all means if you have a better way for me to apply them shoot away bro,
i have at current 1200x600 aluminium 2.5mm sheetx3, which i am planning to cut release gaps between the strips keeping the edges joined for stability .(like alum strips but fixed at the end still, im a metal worker thats easy, and onto angle frame,

im connecting via wagos ontop and hiding them in a plastic wire chanel square channel covers (poor mans box sections xD)
you glued strips down? you mean like flux glue stuff? or like rtv silicon glue / super glue etc
