I made a compost tea for microbes and it's been bubbling for 1 week is this okay? It still smells the same

Over cooked it.

36 hrs is prime. 48 is ok. beyond is overkill.

Add some molasses and let the populations start multiplying again.

What microbes you brewing? Compost has already been broken down by microbes. If your compost wasn't raised on whatever you're feeding the tea, youve missed the boat.
