im trying to get this deal on a light / reflector / and ballast.. not sure on whut kind of ballast it is.. hps/mh.. but the lady sent me specs on the light bulb thats in it right now.. worded very compilicated... can sum tell me if this means, in newbie speak, that this bulb is a MH? here is the info she sent me and a pic of the bulb.. ur help is greatly appreciated...

"When it comes to finding very bright, highly efficient, high light quality, long life light bulbs for your office, production facility, warehouse, or other large buildings, most people choose M400 Sylvania metal halide light bulbs. The brand chosen most often is Sylvania Metalarc. Bulbs made by other manufacturers might be referred to as Multi-Vapor. While the technical term for the bulb is M400/U, they are simply referred to as 400 watt Metal Halide bulbs or 400 watt Metalarc bulbs. These high-octane bulbs really pack a punch and offer users a bright white light to work under."

thanks a-million...

Sounds to me like a 400 watt Metal halide. Will graw and area about 3'x3'. You'll need venting cause that will put out some heat if you are closet growing. Don't know what price you are paying but the plant world uses these guys alot. I have a 250watt HPS from this site for a 2'x3' grow area over a buppleponics hydro system.

Hope it helps.

thank you CRAZY... i believe that did help... with that info the lady sent me it never actually called that bulb a MH bulb... but apparently its a style of MH.. so im assuming that ballast will work... the people are sellin the bulb, vent, and ballast for 125... hell of a deal... as i know a MH bulb itself will go for around 80-120 bux... i am gonna get it and i have a brand new MH converted to HPS 400W hortilux bulb imma use to flower.. just didnt want to spend 100 bux on sumin i couldnt use.. Thanks CRAZY...

CAMMO... im new but not retarded... just wanted to make sure that was a MH bulb and Ballast so it would work wit my MH/HPS conversion bulb...
