completly ridiculous question

right so, i germinated the seed in a glass, in my bottom drawer, and left it.
Today I went to plant it in its pot, and the seed casing, had completly split.
i could see the first two leaves and everything.
So I put it in the soil, and the seed casing fell off, so what I did was put the root into the hole (about 3/4 of an inch deep) and then covered up the two top leaves.
Will it be alright?

Sorry for the n00bish questions, but im quite anxious to start growing.

That's just the method I use regularly. I let them germinate until the shell slides off then plan them with the leaves sticking barely above the dirt surface

I have never heard that before. It works out well for you or you just joking around.

W.T.F thats plant stress right from the get go if they even live to sprout.
its definatelly a joke

I am totally serious it works great. Every so often one of the seedlings will dry out but I'd say close to 95% success rate.

I agree. think about it this way. In nature, plants do not grow thier embryotic leaves until they crack the soil, then only when light hit them they begin to use the nutrients to feed on them during seedling time to grow root structure.

THis is not natural so for now on plant ur seedlings with the embriotic leaves in light.

cant see any seeds germing in water:lol::lol:
looks like a propogator to me.
show us how its done in the glass/bull method you described:lol::lol:.
soaking seeds untill they grow leaves is complete bullshit and would never work.
leaves growing under water??? W.T.F.

I'm not sure what you mean about glass bull. But whn the sprout pops out of the seed it has two little leaves on it regardless of how you germinate. They are just born that way.

Update, the two first leaves are out of the soil, but they are a really really pale green.
I've just started a 22/2 cycle today under a 150w HPS. I'm keeping a close eye on her.

I'll post pics when she starts growing properly.

Apart from Pat, anyone got any names for her?
The strain is either, White widow, northern lights, or lowryder.
I got a mixed batch of seeds from my friends who picked up shit loads of seeds while in the Amsterdam.
