Coming back to growing after 15 years

Now that my kids are grown I'm about to get my hands green again. But I need a refresher course.

For reference, last time I started the seeds indoor for 2 months using 6 60Watt florescent bulbs. I planted outside around June 1.

I don't recall any nutrients at the time and I used seeds from very good pot. Now I'll need to order online.

I grew about 5 years and would harvest about 2 lbs year year using this approach. I'm in the northeast of the US

Is there a specific thread on starting indoor and then finishing outdoor? All I seem to see is either indoor or outdoor.

Any help is much appreciated.

A lot has changed in 15 years. Back then the common knowledge was during veg you get some fertilizer that is high in Nitrogen. During flowering you get some ferts that are high in Phosphorus. Well, you still want to have more N during veg and more P during flowering, but experts have found that you still want to keep adding N during the flowering and also have P during growth... you just increase the P as you flower. And very important... if you want tight, heavy, buds, growers have discovered that if you have double the amount of Potassium to Phosphorus that will take care of that. I run with Blue Planet Nutrients and love them. They are super affordable and outperform Advanced and General Hydro. Perfect ratio of N-P-K... and the feeding chart was designed for growing mj so its super easy to use.

Sorry I dont have any advice to give you about moving your girls outdoors. Good luck to you. Roll It Up is awesome. Lots of cool people here willing to help so be sure to keep the questions coming if you have them. This is the best forum by far.

thx for the info, I've been reading the BB for the past several days and I agree this place is a wealth of knowledge

my current indoor/sunshine grow started under CFL, then after 2 weeks a few hours of HPS, and always into the sunlight whenever it was bright.

so bottom line, sudden drastic changes can stress it, a bit at a time...and work up to direct sunshine....you can put in shade at first or indirect sunshine, or on a cloudy day

I recently moved my gal into the HPS room as the weather was terrible, but this did not go well....burnt the colas, the lights were 18 inches away....go figure
