Hi guys I’m in 5 1/2 weeks of flower and some of my buds have gone amber and some are still white what is the best advice it’s my first grow,Thanks
You want to wait until 70-90% of the hairs go amber. Consider buying a jeweler's loupe. They're cheap on Amazon. The trich test is more accurate, but most people still just go by the hairs.

we already went over thisHow many plants have you harvested?
Post a picture let’s see.
if you’ve been rubbing the buds to smell them then this can cause premature ambering of the hairs (pistils)
70-90% of the hairs being amber is wrong.
you want pretty much 100% of the pistils to be amber and to have began to recede back into the calyx.
most people pull their plants far to early.
post a picture of your plant that you’re concerned with and I’ll let you know what’s happening.

I'm actually on my first grow, but if you look up the Pistil Method, EVERY source says 70-90% with very little deviation. I must have read this well over 100 times from different sources.
