to start off heres wut i have set up.
- i got m39 clones (5), 2-3 weeks into flowering.
- 6" pots (want to transplant but not enough room in closet, plants r fairly small anyways)
- 430 watt hps lamp with 2 simple fans for air circulation. (i wish i had a good vent setup but cant afford. lamp is borrowed from friend btw)
- i keep my closet door 1-2 ft open, and blanket on the closet door to cover light when im sleeping (electricity is cheaper at night)
- 8/8 lighting
- ph down (phos. acid), borrowed flowering nutrients (i use once every 2-3 days, 18ml in a 3L bottle of ph'd water)
- vectobac (chalk/chocolate milk looking stuff, not using anymore as fungus gnats are no longer an issue)
I also have o.g kush in veg. stage which i put outside at 10am tyll sun goes down then i put in closet to catch another 6 hours of light = 18 hours.
now heres the problems.. spider mites, pots too small (no room for trans), discoloration, curled leaves.
the spider mites i've had for a good like 2 months now.. i spray plants twice a day trying to cover all leaves top and bottom. all its done is slow down the mites i have yet to get rid of them. about a week n a half ago i caught a praying mantis which cannot feed faster then the mites multiply. now the mites are colonized, theres tons of em. I got no money for any thing, cant even buy lady bugs or mantis eggs. color change may also be due to lack of nutrients or altered ph, i ran out of ph tester so i cant test if the soil needs to be fluhed or not, i flush it anyway at least once every week. i've tried everything.. 2 hour ice water sprayings, homemade miticides, even sitting my plants next to a tea kettle to try and steam the mites off.. nothing has worked.
i need some sirious help b4 my plants die out, they're showing major signs.
trying to get my hands on a humidifier, and other products.
any ideas on what i should do/use, and how to do/use it?
