G greenman3 Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2008 #2 it can slow root growth if it is too cold i actually have this same problem. if you can set them on a little table or something off the floor this will help some and you can buy rubber heating mats for this.

Click to expand... your roots need to be kept at a constant 70 degrees or as close as possible. if your roots don't grow neither will your tops.
