Are you still in veg? All I know is the megacrop is tricky for many and they changed the contents many times so I don't know what you're working with.

Monsanto did not buy General Hydroponics. General Hydroponics is or was part of Hawthorne Gardening which is a subsidiary of ScottsMiracle-Gro. It seems that Scotts has recently pulled GH directly under the Scotts brand.

They also own Botanicare, Mother Earth, Gavita, Sun Systems, and many other companies. I don't know why people keep saying that Monsanto owns this and that. The only ties to Monsanto Is the fact that ScottsMiracle-Gro is the exclusive distributor of Roundup which is made by Monsanto. And Monsanto is owned by Bayer.

Well all you have to figure out is if it's the one without the calcium (Part A). Part B is usually calcium nitrate. Just follow what they recommend but do half!

I wasn't trying to be a jerk correcting you. It's just that the subject comes up quite often and for some reason I feel the need to clarify. You probably don't want to be a spreader of false information yourself so it's good to know.

I don't know anything about Duke Diamond but stoners have a tendency of hearing something and repeating it without checking the validity. As for Monsanto, they can suck.... I'm not defending them. But it's better to have the correct information rather than some story floating around the internet.

ScottsMiracle-gro went on a buying binge and bought up a whole bunch of cannabis focused companies and their stock has tripled in the last few years. I took a small position myself. And don't kid yourself about the smaller companies. Their ingredients all come from the same chemical factories in India. And 99% of them would sell out to Scotts in an instant if given a decent offer and I wouldn't blame them. Take the money and run.

Same thing with any industry. For example. I was happy to see small microbrew companies like Ten Barrel Brewing from Bend Oregon sell to Anheuser-Busch. I know things will change but the founders gave me years of good brew and they deserved the $10 million dollar payday they got for years of hard work. I feel the same about any other industry. People that work hard to build a business should be rewarded. Selling to a large company only makes sense. Take a big payday and kick back for the rest of your life or deal with the day to day struggles of running a business.

The same people working at GH today are the same people that were working there five years ago. Not buying their products has absolutely no impact on Monsanto. Or for that matter Scotts. But it can have an impact at GH which is still operating basically as it has been since it's inception. All boycotting any companies that might have some slight association with Monsanto does is put the jobs of people like you and I in jeopardy. It doesn't change a thing as far as Monsanto is concerned.

So I could probably use this for transplanting clones and water with just water for a couple weeks? That would save some time!

I would not be mixing the soil‘s together unless you are thoroughly confident that you know the ingredients from the two soil‘s will play well together. You could be adding too much K for example, if both soils have kelp, granite, greensand, etc. Also you don’t want to mess with the soils CEC cation exchange capacity.

Clone is rooted. A bit of root winding in the solo cup (FF Ocean soil), but I've transferred into the FF and Coco Loco mix into a large outdoor container. Hoping the roots will spread out and the plant take to the new outdoor location.

I can only find a good price at my local grow store
Amazon and Walmart sells it but I think it's overpriced on there. It's quite simple ingredients so nothing special!

I was doing some research and found out Roots Organic original potting soil is mainly COCO. So it's pretty damn similar to coco loco. I think they should clarify that more on the bag because it misled me before I started making my own soil.
You should make some Coots Mix sometime. I think you would like it.
