Just make damn sure you rinse it out very well before using. I soak mine overnight starting with hot water then rinse it out several times after that. Use .5 ml of cal mag per gallon. Those are the two most important things i have learned using coco coir. Been using it for years, you are going to love it. Seedlings can start kinda weak sometimes, i read a reason for this but forgot why and lost the link.

PH the water you soak it in as well. I think I started at 5.5 the last time i soaked a brick but it was in March and I can not remember where I put my keys so March is impossible.

What site sells the Cal Substrates brand of coco?
I entered my zip code to find a local hydro shop that carried it.
Fortunately, there was a shop not too far away. Same price as bagged canno coco, about $20.
Yet to use, so the jury is still out. ;-)

Last years outdoor using bagged canno coco, zero washing or prep, 20% perlite. Had some problems for sure, but not horrible considering imma dummy.
Immediately started using calmag to get coco cec charged in early veg.
