COB kit or buy separate ?

so what y’all think, buy a kit or buy everything separate? The costs that I’m finding are pretty close and buying a kit I wouldn’t have to find everything separate.
Vero29$25 each x6
Hear sink $28-$38 x6
Drivers x2 $95
Adds up quick , and looking at kits from timber and rapidLED, their prices aren’t too bad I suppose ,unless I am missing something ? Also, what y’all think I should run, 3000k or 3500k? This is strictly for flowering in mind so I’m leaning towards the 3000k, I have a 3500know but thinking that a little more red might make a little difference .

I’m doing a side by side at the moment, with my vero29 from timbergrowlights and a G8 LED 900. I know the G8 isn’t as efficient but it’s doing pretty dang good.

Go with the kit there's no need to piece everything together nowadays it wont save you enough to justify the extra time you will spend making it

I built a 300w vero29 C 90 cri 3500k series and I'm blown away with the results.
I can't wait to build a second one to throw away my 600W HID lamp on my other tent

Edit : Oh by the way my vero build gives much nicer weed and in my 3x3 it gives the same yield (12oz) as my HID build in 4x4.

That’s what I have now, but building one is almost the same price as just buying one that’s already put together and comes with the fixture. I’ll probably get the same exact one, but was thinking about mixing it up a little bit and having a few 3000k and a few 3500k

How much did it cost to replace a 600w HID?

It was like $800. Best light I’ve used yet. Plants love it and are healthy
Yikes! :o
That's a little rich for my blood.
I run two 600w rigs close together for mixed spectrum. (HPS + MH)
It's relatively efficient for HID -- and plants dig it.
Bare bulb MH puts out lots of UV... :weed:

Another cool thing about mixed spectrum is that I can run the cheap bulbs with no ill effects.
