I love that loud too.....CO2 from dry ice is for kids...get a tank or a generator

imo, (and a lot of others too) unless you're using tanked co2 (or burner) you're wasting your time/money. lets say you wanted around 1000 ppm. producing numbers like that with dry ice, or some yeast mix or whatever, is near impossible. you don't have to spend a grand on a co2 set-up, to make it worth using. all you really need is a/some tanks, a regulator, and a repeat cycle timer. a regulator is around a hundred. tank(s) are another hundred. a good repeat timer maybe sixty, and assorted other fairly cheap supplies.....

I used dry ice the other day, and boy did my plants seem to like it. And it was only $2.00 to buy, so I'm thinking about doing it at least once a week, they sure seemed to love it in my opinion

Adding CO2 should not show any immediate effects from a single application. It is intended like supplemental lighting and nutrients to make as much of the building blocks for growth available to the plant as it can use. Using CO2 over the long term will increase growth/yield and should be administered with a tank and regulator as stated above. I tried the "make your own CO2" years ago with 5 gallon plastic water jugs, yeast, sugar, and tubing. It was a hassle, more expensive than buying a tank & regulator, and the alcohol you produce stinks. ( remember the CO2 is actually a byproduct of alcohol formation )

i see folks saying all the time that the use it/it works/plants perked right up etc. i think that they really believe that it is working. i think the vast majority of these people that do the brews or other methods really can't afford to buy the equip. they know that co2 is very beneficial, and want to believe it works. all you have to do, is do a before/during/after, measurement of the ppm of the co2 in your grow space. this testing is fairly cheap. most of the places that sell the gardening equip. (LOL) that we use, sell those co2 syringe measurement units/kits. once you see the results, you'll stop wasting your money/time, brewing etc.

you do not need a sealed room but it is cheaper to run if you do. I used $40 for propane per week for an eight week run. my room wasn't sealed. I have a generator and a ppm meter. if you want to do it cheaper the room should be sealed. a tank and a regulator and a meter are all you need. there are smaller systems but they don't put out much. hope that helped
