I just added co2 too my garden and am wondering @ how long between on/cycle should I be able to go? room is 490sqft and sealed pretty well. I know it takes 38m set at 1cfh to reach optimum levels but @ how long is it possible to stay at that level?? Im wanting to save on co2 but still boost yeild.......My timer is max 20m on/time so I am running higher cfm to keep within timer specs. plus Ive heard its best to get levels up quicker is better but I dont see how long to go between cycles???

Dude, save yourself allot of guesswork and even more wasted Co2 by getting one of these: http://www.horticulturesource.com/product_info.php?products_id=9189

You will also prevent toxic levels of co2 from forming. I have a 530 cubic foot sealed grow room and I spend more on co2 than nutes per grow. #20 lasts a week with a precision fuzzy logic controller. $17 a week for 9 weeks =$153. Worth it in yield but also way worth it do have a decent controller. Plug in and forget about it.

Just a thought.

holy shit!!!AWEEK!?! cost me $30 a fill and a 30m trip....I dont have the xtra cash at moment too get a controller and it seems its going to be a bitch if it only last me a week a tank!! Theres got to be a way to conserve and still get better results???

Just cause he went through that much a week dosent mean you will......

yeah...I always plan on using more of things that way im happy when less is used.was just added two days ago so i will wait n see what happens...

I have a bottle setup on a timer with no ppm meter. My flower room is 10' x 7' and I set the regulator at 0.30 and the timer is set to run for 15 min every two hours. My 20 lb. bottle lasts a month. 1500 ppm is ideal any more would just be wasted. Your plants requirements for nutrients will also increase with the raised CO2 levels. In my first full run with CO2 I was able to attain a 30% increase in yield.
