CO2 Off Car

This might sound like a dumb question, but I am growing in my garage, and wondered if starting the car for a quick min. would add and help to Photo senses? Or is this just wrong with other pollutants that come with the car?

oops got the wrong carbon. Hehe, see stupid question I tell ya. Anything else that will produce C02 with out havving the tank?

co2 generators, home brewed beer or wine, yeast and sugar,co2 boost bucket all depends on the grow area. You want it to be completely sealed and you have to monitor the co2 air ppm and keep it 1200-1500 ppm during lights on.

What about watering your plant using carbonated water? It's good and pure, like bottled water, and usually cheaper too. Would this amount of CO2 be negligible? Would the fact that it's dissolved in water in the dirt do anything weird to the plant's root uptake?

I don't know that the dissolved carbon dioxide would inhibit oxygen in solution, do you think it would?
The point would simply be that the dissolved CO2 would slowly come out of solution and be released into the air.

DO NOT USE carbonated water! . your asking for death to the plants if you do . if anything use store bought hydrogen peroxide or 35% h2o2 .

well i use a lantern with pure liquid wax burn'n when lights are on with what i think is succesful in a 10x8 grow room
cheers

i wouldnt use the car if i was you... bad idea. baking soda and vinegar works good and fast so the biggest concern would be ventilation and space. just remember co2 in denser than air so it would be best to set up w/e you decide to use above the plants or use some kind of hose setup for the best results

actually cars do make carbon dioxide. they USED to make mainly carbonMONOXIDE but now that all cars come with catalyctic converters, they make carbon dioxide. THus the rising C02 levels in our atmosphere

so yes starting ur car in the garage would raise c02 levels, but prob not enough to noticeably help ur plant

strange. I haven't tried suicide recently, but I thought it was the carbon monoxide that killed you, not so much the carbon dioxide.

sitting in cars post-converter era wont kill you. trying reading up on catalyctic converters. carbon monoxide poisoning may have happened in the 80s but not anymore

is that right?

Perhaps you would like to read up on CO?
Carbon Monoxide Emissions

It would appear that cars still produce CO. Who would have thought that a cat can't eliminate 100% of the CO produced, only reduce it.

Just to be clear here and to bring this back on point, are you trying to say that leaving the car running enclosed in your grow area is a good idea, and that you would try this or have tried this yourself?

the idea is ridiculously funny hahah
esp with gas prices... jeeeeesh

im NOT a scientist... but i say whatever is coming out wouldn't benefit you, the plants, or even your car. please no one try this.

once again, read your own article. I never said that they dont make any CO, i just said that they dont make enough to be lethal/kill your plants. the 80+% reduction has made carbon monoxide posining from cars a thing of the past (sure a freak accident will happen once in a while but that doesnt really count).

Also, while you're answering that question, please point out where in the article I cited that it says that the CO produced by a car is not enough to kill you.
