It goes both ways. Renter ac goes out, oh great now I gotta get the landlord to fix this.

Owner ac goes out, great now I don't have to call anyone but I get to pay for it :) I've done both and they both suck lol.

i'm curious. i think there's deviousness afoot my gf said I could use the full room length walk in cupboard to put the op in. (I'm assuming she wants a full bedroom as a changing room in return haha) and to top that she said she thinks we should sleep in the room it adjoins too!?

it might actually be time to go vert.

Get whatever space you can early! Once you settle in its hard to expand, at least in my case with framing and drywall etc!

oh it's a finite space believe me haha. unless i go up into the loft and i can't be doing with that every day for a smoke and to check the girls. i'll take a pic on wednesday, it's actually not that bad a space to work in though I'll have less height to play with i think.

Height is obviously good for vertical growing lad...although you could still do a 1 level vertical grow in a not so tall space.

I've height i could use but i'd not be able to access the half height bit on the side if that makes sense!? I'm going to be growing above the stairwell so the noise has to be minimum.

this will be the preference i think probably scrog from here out or i'll have to do many tiny SOG. i'll be going to an acoustic but way smaller than my jet engine sized one i have now. (plumbers a mate so i think i'm going to get him to fit a water feed in there!).

I've said it once, I'll say it again, for noise get a box fan, stupidly quiet they are.

I don't get much access to the ladies at the back of my space, although this round I have managed them better. Not quite sure waht you mean about no access though....

They're squirrel fans inside a sealed MDF box Don.

Like D said they're damn quiet, especially if you use insulated ducting.
And they usually shift a damn site more air than a conventional fan for the same size hole.

Here's the outdoor view l-r is chemdog, mk ultra, pre98, cherry pie and blue dream. Behind them is a peacock clone from the bushy male my buddy was growing. Providing my wife doesn't kill me first, I plan to let the little man chill with all the girls till the end!image.jpg
