Hello y'all
So I now understand how the benefits of using them is so good for our plants.
But I don't understand the actual use of them
Won't the simple use of moving the full of soil and root balls. Be bad for the roots?
And isn't it best to have them over a pan to catch runoff versus sitting in a pan ?
Thank you in advance

.

I move my pots 3 times during the grow: once from the veg tent to the flower tent, then twice for defoliation in weeks 1 and 3 of flower.

I've never noticed any root issues.

I move mine around daily. 5 gal fabric pots. Not a single issue. I had 3 'trees' I grew outside this year and the wind knocked over lots lol, plus I had to move them everytime there was shit weather.

Indoor, I have left them in trays and bottom watered and also use stands over trays and top water. Main reason for bottom water method was to kill off the fungus gnats cause if your top soil dries out and they can't get into the bottom they done. It works well.

As for the plants health, Noticed no difference in either method. Figured though it's better to have them elevated to ensure it's fully drying out in between watering to prevent mold, etc. So once gnats are gone, I elevate on stands.

I recommend skipping them and using a cheap azz plastic pot. Overrated in my opinion

You can leave them sitting in the trays with the runoff. Felt pots breath so well that it doesn't matter if they sit in an inch or two of water for a bit. Plus a lot of people bottom water and let the capillary action pull the water up. Personally, I like my felt living soil planters to sit in the run-off every once in a while to insure any dry pockets get a chance to rehydrate adequately.
