Closet Grow room set up help

I am going to use my closet for my first grow.Its pretty spacious but im not gonna go crazy as far as how many plants i grow.i Have a 400w mh/hps air cooled light with a 4 bucket hydro set up,as well as all the ducting/fans/nutes needed to start my grow.The walls are white, i was just wondering if i can have a nice grow with the walls as is or should i do something else like add reflective lining? Like i said this is my first grow so anyone who has grown in a closet or is that can give me some insight would be greatly appreciated.Thanks

I would realy advice you to use them 20$ on a few meters of Maylor .. its 2-3x as refletiv as flat white .. I know this from fist hand experiance ...

but sure you can grow with out it .. but 20$ spend now might give you Etc. +10 grams in return in the end ..

white works fine in my experience, keeps walls cool in small space and reflection is great. You wouldnt get much more from mylar i would think and its not always cheap

Ive used both in same sized areas and difference was minimal, but i guess different situations give different results.

well if you look at the thread I posted a link to you will see that I get a mesurment of 5-6K footcandles pointed at the maylor and only like 2K from flath white .. useing a 600W HPS .. that like 2-3x as effectiv .. and maylor do only cost like 10$ per running meter (1x1,2 meter) in most shops I checkd .. and is good for many grows ..

There are many shades of white so maybe mine is better suited than what you are testing? Yeah a small setup wouldnt break your budget sure but if ya dont need to spend cash then stick with what ya got i reckon. I also use 600w hps lighting and get around a pound per light. best was 21 oz and my room was painted white. Like i said different situations will give different results

sure .. all depense .. also if you strugle with high temps it might be better to cut the maylor .. as you said .. its cool compaird to maylor to keep the heats inside .. the white kind a absor it so to speak ..

and yea wont be the thing that make or break your grow .. or make the big diffrent .. that more the right light .. close enough .. and healthy plants and good genetic/strains aso.

but as I see it .. if you all ready used them +400$ on the set up .. the last 20$ is`t mouch to optimize it ..

I dont cover it all in maylor .. just keep it on boath sides of the HPS at the walls close to the light (open in the ends for ventilation/fans aso)
just to reflekt that strong light close to the hps and wall ..

p.s
if you have a camping matrass or a ice cover for car windows (boath silver once) you can use that .. come close to maylor ..

+1 for flat white... i do agree with the mylar but it's difficult to get it reflecting proper... i see so many people who dont hang it up tight that would be the reflecting light concentrating on one area instead of spreading the reflecting light.

Hey guys thanks for the tips...i gotta head to the grow store to grab a few odds and ends so i will definitely look into the mylar and if its not too expensive ill probly grab some.Gonna get everything set up this weekend and start my grow monday...will do a journal too in the grow journal thread so feel free to tag along
