Well these days I only need enough herb for medical purposes. The outside climate is extreme going up to 46cel summer to -4 cel in the winter. So like others in door became a must again. With anti herb visitors and a house kept open I had to go stealth.
The first step my grow area had to be my bedroom closet as visitors coming and going would be asking what’s that black tent with ac tubes coming out of it doing in your room? So my working space was 1/3 rd of my sliding door closet 52x132x180cm.
Now I looked at a few options panda film with a zipper cheap but not the best for sound proffing remember it’s my bedroom dwc and fan and duct fan. Then light leaks and the dank smell of weed. This isn’t my house so cutting up the closet wasn’t an option. Then I found the greenfingers 90x50x160cm grow cab the things a perfect fit.
Now I’m not going to say it’s the best quality tent I’ve owned but omg for a closet grow cab it’s just perfect. Inside I run a sf-1000 and a ts-1000. It’s an absolute gem of a tent and the only one I’ve came across that has enough height for a decent grow using lst and srog ect or small plants.
Currently it’s running a 4” duct system which will handle the Mars TS-1000 on its own with driver mounted outside tent it stays within 4-5 cel above ambient with the grow flo duct fan running max rpm. Yes you can hear it but it’s not loud I sleep fine with it going on and off all night. I will be upgrading to a 6” system soon and run at lower rpm though it’s not noise when I have 2 lights on the 4” can’t coup. I could go a 5” but 6” at lower rpm and giving me some future head room seems better.
I use a growlush gtc-v2 thermal control which you can even use to reg the temp of your res outputs for warm and cool oldskool analog built tough and around $60 aud simple to use turn the knob to temp need plug exsaust fan into cool and you can plug a heater into warm. Not selling there shit but guys these are the best things ever made for $60 aud.
I just wanted to share my stealth setup as there are probably others out there in the same boat, need stealth, want a neat setup, are using a closet that also stores clothing, is in a bedroom and must keep sound and light leak to a min. It has a water proof floor myler the shing metal stuff coated inside, no off gasing that I’ve noticed. The only sound you’re going to get is the ex duct fan, I can’t hear my 160mm tent fan at all.
if I made one mistake it would have been not going at least a 5” ex fan and system like I said with the ts-1000 150w you kinda need to mount the driver out side to give you that 4-5cel above ambient though the spider farmer sf-1000 100w is fine. My home is kept between 18cel and 26cel so I’m happy.
