Do you guys thing this is going to work for cloning or did I mess it up ??

How do you think you messed it up? Water cloning has worked for centuries.

Should be ok. I've cloned in just water plenty of times. Although shorter than that. I'd have cut that about an inch below those 2 bottom leaves on it, then taken the 2 leaves off and put it in about 2" of water
What happened to the top of it?

Don't expect anything from that stick on the left, lol. The clone on the right might root fine though.

It’s doable. Might take a while but doable. I would cut the tips off all of your fans to stop photosynthesis from happening and force the plant to focus on root growth.
