1) does the growth u take should it have a new set of leaves appering/growing from the shoot? Does size matter?

2) as soon as i clone, whats the light cycle i should be on and what kind of light(i have shop florus t-12, 400w mh, and a mini floro 60 watt.

3) i have 2 trays, one with holes and one without, how or when should i be watering, or am i misting every few days until roots show, then into soil?

4) rockwool, or perlite?

please any advice is much appreciated..

i've read indoor gardening and hydro, ive been reading the cannabis magazines, ive watched videos off youtube, ive read stinkys post...

after all that these are the question i remain with. other than that i feel as if ive totally done my research?

answers to your questions

1. the growth you take should be strong but you should cut away any leaves other than the top ones, while cloning the clones have to choose between using energy to sustain the clone or to create a root system. if the clone is spending energy where it isnt needed it will just slow root production.

2. your clones should be on the same light timer as your vegging and mother plants, i use 18 light 6 dark. just be very careful about using the metal halide with fresh cut clones because that thing is strong and you dont want to burn or stress the clones.

3. you should be misting your clones every day until they develop a root system.

4. i highly recommend using rockwool because its very easy to see when your roots are developed and ive never found anything wrong with rockwool in general

my opinion : you cant beat aero/DWC cloners. they leave medium for dead.

i clone 18/6 with a 400w MH a long way away. some sort of root juice in the water of the DWC

cutting : the bigger the better IMO, from the base of the plant, 45 degree angle.

have a look in the grow in my sig, it has some clone info there

4)when do u cut them from the mothers? before the day starts, 30min after light on. midday, before lamp go off, right after it go off?

5) do the bottom of the clones, right after they are cut go into any water, or just straight into rockwool,

6) do u need to do anything to the rockwool prior to placing the clone into it.

7) i have a tray with holes, a tray without holes. what do i do with this?

8) lets see if i got it right... cut from the mother in proper fashion, insert into root gel for a few min, then into dry rockwool one quarter inch from the bottom, mist the clones well, and the dome... gently place dome on tray, place tray into grow tent with mother maybe in the shadow of larger pots to block direct light. wait 2-3 weeks, and then place in soil and either veg or flower... but of course, ill be misting them every day or 2..

do i need to mist for atleast 2 weeks, do i need to water them or feed at all during this time?
