cloning tops?

I was wondering if it was possible to make clones from the tops of my plants as I top them? I dont really want to just make this plant a designated mother because I havent tried cloning before so I dont want to mutilate a very nice plant if I wont have any good outcomes. I just wanted to take the tops as I top them and try to get a couple babies out of it. Possible???

sure you can i have done it, just cut a little further down then you normally would so you have a node for roots to come from.
