Cloning sativa dom vs indica dom

So in the past I have could throw a indica dom clone in whatever and 7 days later poof roots. I am trying to clone King chem a sativa dom going on day 12, its starting to yellow on cut fan leaves. and the girls look rough. do I need to do some thing special for sativa dom clones? used rooting powder, dead soil (no nutes or additives), no nutes 20/4 light heating pad good humidity? the new growth is perfect just no roots?

Nah, typically I don't notice a difference between the two but sometimes certain strains just are bitches to clone. I had a cut of blueberry that was hell to clone sometimes 3 weeks roots. If the clone is starting to grow then it should be rooting, just give her time or move on to another. Cheers

she is not growing and no roots visible yet, I think she is trying to teach me patience.

Get Clonex. The powder doesn't work anywhere as near as good as Clonex gel. Here is a gel you can buy at Lowe's or Home Depot. I've never used it, and I don't remember what it's called, but it's a gel with 0.1(?)% IBA and vitamins and such for rooting.

Notso has it! Some strains are harder, slower, more fussy to clone....Water it with willow water a cpl of times.

I think they extract IBA from willow, either the bark, or something else, now that you mention it.
