Cloning Questions

I have heard from a couple friends that during flowering when the buds are newly formed that u can clip those off put some root stuff on it plant leave it in 12/12 and i was wondering if this actualy works. Please help all advice is welcome.

i would think no. do you mean that your trying to root bud??

Thats the thing i am not so ure myself but some friends i know have seen it done but i just wanna know if anyone else has heard of or seen this. Oh and yes i think your supposed to root the bud and let it grow during the flowering stage.
