Cloning questions(problems?) with DIY Aeroponics.

Okay, so I just built this cloner, I've never cloned before, I just got the mothers big enough to statr cloning like crazy.

Anyway, I'm using a small amount of Pro Blend Pro Grow formula as a nutrient(about a tsp/gal), I'm juicy roots on them just after cutting.

It's been close to a week now, and nothing. I've noticed some of the clones have these weird things happening at the bottom. I've never done this before, so I'm unsure if this is normal. here are some pics.

It may be hard to tell but the bottom of the clone is almost translucent I guess, it's VERY soft. It looks like all the solid parts have vanished.

I'm guessing it's a big problem, if it is, anyone have any advice on how to fix this? I wanna get 80% cloning success.

look closely at where the stem is disappearing and look for small larva... i have two 50 site diy aero cloners as well and ran into what i think were gnat larva eating my clones..

and yes either way this is a huge problem.

my success rate is 99% and this is what i do:

about 10 gallons of straight tap water that sat out for 24hrs with a bubbler in it to get rid of the chlorine.
ph is now about 7.5

i ph it down to 6.0 once and THATS IT.

do nothing more to the water absolutely no nutes.

i check the ph daily but do NOT adjust it daily. adjust it maybe once or twice a week. once you get it dialed in it won't need adjusting until some start to root and take in some water.

i usually leave my clones in the cloners for 1-2 weeks after rooting and this is their Veg time. during this time i need to add ph UP normally. then they go in to the DWC and into flower.

as for the clones you do everything right but do you have any rooting hormone?

i cut my clones with one node in the cloner, 45* cut, scrape a little skin away around that node, dunk in gel rooting hormone and leave it sit in there until i cut my next one and then stick that one in the gel and then move the other one to the cloner.

I'm using Juicy Roots as my hormone.

So I should just get rid of the PureBlend Pro Grow as a nute for my clones, and just use straight tap water? I was thinking about doing that but I wasn't sure if the clones would take.
