Whats up all , I am planning on having 2 plants vegging and flowering at all times. I am woundering i watched a video on cloning and they showed it looked pretty straight forward. From one of my females i am planning on taking 2 cuttings , i picked up "Root Hormone Powder". First ill take 2 nice cuttings trim it up , make little notches or scores on the bottom of the stem , mositen , then dip into root hormone powder, place into a good souil mix constiting of perlite , worm castings , and peat moss, Finally moving under a light and let grow. Another question is if you clip from a female is the clone garunteed to be a female ? So basically i am asking is this is a good idea or will it work at all,

:joint: Thanks alot , any advice would be appreciated:joint:

Looks like you got it all figured out. Yes the clones from a female will be 100% female. Search DIY bubbler cloner it's cheap to make and gives a better survival rate.

I rooted 12 out of 12 clones in just 9 days using the exact same things you have listed above except I also used a humidity dome. Alot of people say using soil is too hard, I feel they're wrong, I had a 100% success my first time. Good luck

I like to use clear plastic cups for cloning. I heat a fork on the range and burn holes along the bottom for drainage. Then you can watch the roots develope and choose the best time to transplant.

what does this mean? scores and notches and why do it?

The clear cups are a good idea so you can see root growth, but you also need to have something to cover them up with so no light gets to the roots. This is the way I did it, I used 9oz clear solo cups and 18oz blue solo cups they fit inside of each other perfectly might work for you too

I have cloned many times and this is what I do. Cut the clone off, on an angle, dip into Olivia's cloning gel. Then put into an organic peat plug or jiffy peat plug (they fit right into the holes in the tray). Keep it moist not too wet. I use a tray with a dome, so I keep the dome vents slightly open. I mist the clones daily until rooted. If the plugs are getting too wet, you may have to squeeze them out. Like I said, keep em moist, no too wet. You should see roots poking through the plug within 2 weeks or so. :peace:
