As long as you took the clone from a branch that was not pollinated it should be fine. Otherwise all the plant energy is going into seed production, and I think the clone would have a hard time adjusting.
I certainly appreciate everyone's thoughts..... Had some nice plants (Maple x Train Wreck) get pollinated and I wasn't able to be present when the clones were taken so I'm not sure if the cuttings had been pollinated or not. Once they rooted, I noticed some rather unusual growth patterns..... lots of three leaf branches, long internode spacing ect. However, they're starting to hit a strong veg and look as though they've returned to a pre-pollinated state. I suppose time will tell. Thanks again.
GreenCross is mostly correct. You can take a cutting off of your plant from anywhere if it has a pollinated bud sight and you were able to get it to root while it was producing a seed, not go back into veg you might get a seed. The buds pollinate at each individual sight, if you pollinate a plant yourself you could all things being perfect pollinate one set of two hairs and produce a seed in the bud and the bud continue to grow out and that entire bud only have one seed. There is my two cents on the subject......lol Hope that helps and best of luck to you.........the worst you can do is kill a cutting and the best is get a new plant.
grow it out man. its cool. and if you get seeds high 5 cuz it will only be on the originally pollinated pistils. all new bud growth and new budz will not polinate.
many peeps do this to get some seed to preserve strains and still have smoke.
