Cloning Question

Do you have to use cloning solution or can you use plain old water?

You can clone with just water but I use a cloning gel (Olivias) and my success rate went through the roof. I clone into a mixture of 1/2 Sunshine Mix #1 and 1/2 perlite. This works well for me. I have tried powders, liquids and gel and the gel worked best for me.
