cloning question

hey y’all. just took some clones yesterday. have a dome w/vent lid and jiffy pellets. question is....I lightly sprayed the lid of dome and plants before putting lid on. been a day and some
of the cuttings have leaves that tpuch the dome lid. sandwiching moisture between the leaves and plastic lid. I tried to push the pellets down more in the inserts to give more room. should I be concerned with the moisture on the leaves? take off lid occasionally? thanks in advance. my first grow harvest was very good. here is some pics and of the clone and dome dilemma grow was with t5’s2E49DE2C-D39D-4AA9-B8A3-C5E62E4BC27D.jpeg65235CA4-FC36-4FF4-A9EA-3BA46886992E.jpeg149BC0E7-2CD0-44E3-83C2-C23674A98C1D.jpeg

You'll get the hang of it after several batches of clones. Some of those will take and some won't-the moisture won't harm them unless you keep them like that for days on end. I usually don't like my leaves touching the plastic, but I don't think it makes all that much difference. Manipulating the moisture in the substrate you use is where cloning takes some experience to get right. Letting them start to dry out at the right time stimulates root growth and it's something you just have to practice. You might only have one clone survive your first batch, but keep cloning and trying slightly different things and soon you'll be at almost 100%. Good luck!

I took 13 total I have room
for 8. banana punch and blueberry ogee. used a powder rooting hormone and soked the
pellets in 6.6 ph water with a tad bit of Mycorrhiza as i heard it helps some. thanks

I use jiffy pellets rooting hormone and dome also. The only thing I do differently is I don't spray the lid only the pellets. Like Rurumo said practice makes perfect. You should have good roots showing in 4 to 7 days. Happy Growing.

Ext time don’t pull so early. You severely hurt your end weight.

How tall are the domes? The tallest one's they make for standard 1020 trays are 8", I cut 2 up to make 1 tall one, it works out better if the leaves have room to breath, they'll stay healthier and greener.

I was a week early on the aforementioned harvest, so good eye on that. 4 plants with 3 gallon pots that sunk to only 2 gallons of soil under 8 t-5’s and total dried was close to 6 ounces. 1st attempt and just like these clones (hopefully) I have a better idea on what to change. for starters i made sure those pots had 3 gallons of soil.

these i think are 4” tall. i started with fairly long clones but realized they may hit the lid so i shortened them. thanks

You were about three weeks out honestly from what I seen. Bit good job getting to that point

Or if you want to stick to your current cloning method find a clear 15 or 20 gal Sterlite container and pop three or four holes in it . Instant mega humidity dome

had their replacements getting rootbound and just bit the bullet. dealt with one deficiency on one plant that worried me some. spose to be 8-9 week flower and cut em at 7 and 5 days. if these clones take I should have a nice routine and will just be patient. not an easy task. well on paper it is. thanks for encouragement
