Im a week into budding, its def a female, lots of thick white hairs up and down the plant...My question is: can i clone the plant while its on 12/12 then when i plant the clone take it back to 24hr?

i know its not good to do any cuttin at this point but i wanna get the next one started

yes you can, it will just take longer for the clone to take, you have to be patient, i did this and have nice cloens now.

You WANT to take your clones during the veg stage ... and never longer than two weeks after turning the lights back to 12/12.

Once flowering plants are put back under the lights at 18/6, they will start to reveg again. You'll have some pretty weird growth going on that makes the leaves look distorted. They will grow out of that phase in about three weeks or so. Then, you can take more cuttings from the revegging plants.

The most healthy cuttings, in my experience, are taken off of vegging plants, not flowering plants.

it will take about 14 days to reveg the cutting it has worked many times.

often in my room a branch will get broke if its 3 weeks or less in flower it will take it to the rockwool only a few days longer to root.

You want healthy clones so why not just take them while the mother is vegging and not but them through the extra stress? Unless it's an emergency don't take clones if the mother is flowering. Just a good rule to follow.

Yeah, unless you dont want to waste space on cloning males, and you are growing seedlings.. which is what happens to alot of people startign to grow, and is why this question came up. you want to know it's female before you clone it.

That and most people dont think about their next grow until they already have 12/12 set.

yea thats more or less what happened, i'd grown n cloned a female before but this one looked different....i wasnt sure untill a few days ago but there's no question now. my only issue now is that anywhere i'd wanna clip from has white hairs, really anywhere u look.
thanx for all the reply

But if you are cloning a clone then there is no question about the sex. Then you can't use that as an excuse. Admit it you forgot and now you are worried that it is too late. LOL It's not too late but you are pushing it.

no i meant that i had cloned a previous plant sucessfully. i was thinking all along that this was a male. i know i SHOULD have cloned during veg, thats why i wasnt sure about cloning during flowr....seems to be good though, two days and my clone's lookin perky.

ya can tell male from female by preflower's, well most of the time.
