Cloning Prep Questions

This is a carry-on to a previous thread, starting cloning soon just checking some things before i finalize my decision. Which is better to have, Jiffy, coco or soil? Keeping in mind my grow medium is Canna Terra Professional Plus Soil. secondly is a heated propagator needed or will unheated be fine? Thirdly, Red or blue sectrum light to go on top of the dome? Thirdly i heard its best to just spray the clones with water every day, true? And LASTTLYYY http://www.hydrohobby.co.uk/?subcat...d=0&q=powder&x=0&y=0&dispatch=products.search Which of these is the best clone powder, i've never cloned before so this is new to me :-?

Used the Root Riot Prop kit starting this grow. Bottle of Clonex rooting gel included with it. Their about 20 quid but I think its worth it. Only problem I had with them was that I think the cubes are a little on the small side, but they still work very well.
I have the heated prop, works well, but a lot of people are using normal props without any problems. I dont think there completely necessary. I only bought mine because I got it cheap.
Blue spec light for clones and a light misting to the plants every day and on the prop cover to keep humidity up. If you want you can cut off half of the leaf surface as well to speed up root development as well.
Lots of tutorials on youtube.

Twenty quid? I don't even know how much that is but it is too much. A cheap plastic drink glass taped to block light and lid taped for the same reason. Fill it with tap water and put the cutting in. Wait. Voila - roots. For free, not twenty quid. Screw Clonex or Schulz or other unneeded junk.

I heard using a rooting powder was the best? not gel becuase that's slow? allright ill do without a heat then i think and that sounds interesting do you got a link to a certain vid?, and hotrod, its undeeded but it speeds up the growing doesnt it?

Thanks, Harley. I've been looking everywhere for that answer. My question, found here is, "Can you clone with no rooting hormone, just Happy Frog, Perlite, water and love?" But, you say you don't even need soil? Just water? If I were to take some cuttings from Etta View attachment 2327315 do you think they'd root and catch up to their mother in time for flowering?

DUDE! Use Google Translate and see what I wrote. Then ask others here who have used it and succeed 100% of the time. And they didn't learn it or hear it from me! My family comes from Maidstone-on-Kent and I always thought they spoke English over there. Spend that twenty quid, lad. No lesson learned like a hard lesson learned. Vaya con Dios y buena suerte.

I preach "Live and learn" and I learn the same way. I have tried that Schulz shit only to have a clone not pop, this in plugs in a heated seedling/clone dome as well, and pull it to find dried white powder and a dead stem. Same with that frigging Clonex. Can you use them and get clones? I'm sure people do. But why screw with that when a cup of plain tap water, changed every few days, works 100% of the time? For FREE!

i wanna try this, just a quick couple of questions, do you spray the leaves or put them in a dome? and how long until you start to see roots? also do you think it would help to have correct pH water?

Here's what I did: I put the clones in a cup (old yogurt container, washed and painted black on the outside) of water (taken from the PH-balanced reservoir in my grow tent), taped panda film on top of the cups, notched a hole in the top, put the cuttings in it, sprayed it good with water, put a mixing bowl over it to act as a dome and stuck it under a fluorescent light. I'll change the water every few days and when I see new growth, I'll know the roots took. About a week, from what I've read. View attachment 2328540
