Cloning mature plant

is it ok to cut clones off a plant that is 44 days from seed and showing sex. It's got nice pistils and I was just curious if it changes anything in the cloning process. I assume it's fine since a mother plant would always be mature but just thought I would ask. Here's a pic...

Absolutely!! It's best to do it before it starts flowering; the hormones are different then.

No problem, I normally clone just before flowering as I don't bother keeping mothers (yet I have about 10 -15 strains/phenos going at any time) but I've cloned at all stages. In a pinch you can clone even in flowering to save a pheno, it just takes longer because it reverts back to veg state which can take 3 weeks or so and you get some weird looking growth in that state once it roots.
