Cloning in soil

I'm going to attempt to clone for the 1st time can anyone give me so.e good advice on how it's done? Thanks guys

Choose a non-nurient soil or starter
Use a cloning powder
Cut clips on an angle
Dip in cloner
Plant in soil and add water till moist
Keep roots warm
Lighting is optional on how much is needed any will usually do
I prefer off to the side of my Veg area

Good luck and be patient

i cut a water bottle in half, poke holes and slits in the bottom, use that as a humidity dome. i put my cuts in soil in a solo cup, little humid cap on top. spray water inside the humididome

I don't really care how you do it or what in. Glass of water, coco, soil... Same difference.

Just make sure you have a node in the medium. They sprout much quicker and healthier from a node than bare stem.

Other than that, keep it moist and either use a dome or mist them every once in a while.

Put them in a low light area, building roots not leaves.

Just get some soil and put in a solo cup. Cut your clones and put in cup.

Ive tried every way possible and cloning powders or gels help but are not really needed.

I just cut them and put in soil. Organic so with nutes. Put under a CFL or led bulb. They dont need a lot of light.

Make your cut on the clone at a 45 degree and then split it and that's it.

I've started clones in water, soil, coco, rapid rooters, rockwool, etc... For some reason I settled on coco years ago. I don't remember why I did but I must have had a reason. I get excellent results cloning in coco. Not just cannabis but I've cloned over a dozen other plants using coco. But I grow in coco so I'm probably biased.

Lighting power....Less is more!

Easy way to tell if your using too much light power? The leaves will turn yellow fast...... Strong lighting make's the plant photosynthesize more and it use's the nutrients stored in the plant material for that.

Sure!

Here's a trick for you....
Keep one inside and veg it slow until it's the second week of June and then start it into BLOOM till mid - late June. Around a week to 10 days only-----
Now set that one out and leave it out begin to reveg on it's own. This will not go completely back to veg due to it's starting bloom again in a few weeks..

Now as she gets into bud's doing the initial "swell." Notice how tight the node spacing is and just how big the main buds will actually be.... This stops the stretch and then restarts the bloom with very little stretch = massive mains. IF you do it right!

Once it gets later in the bloom, and you think it's getting too cold outside for it. Be just fine to finish the blooming inside.....

BUT, finish it outside if you can! See how that smoke's :bigjoint:

I used clear solo cups on my last batch, I stuck the two clear ones together then set them in a red solo to block the light from hitting the roots. I enjoyed lifting them up to see if any roots started. Only thing I didn’t like was having to un do the top cup to mist them individually C7FBB0D2-3EBA-47F5-B6D7-F2D324D69106.jpeg

I’m still waiting for my clone to root. I lost a few in soil. Letting the soil dry up. But this one has been alive for about 2 weeks. Roots not popping out the bottom. But I could have sworn I see new growth on the top. Maybe I got lucky.

I’ve heard mixed reviews about cloning procedure. I had someone tell me to cut at 45 degrees right on the node. Use cloning powder and then plant in moist soil, place dome on top and leave it.

I never cut at 45 on the node. I always cut 45 below the node. Thoughts?
