Cloning in root riot cubes???????????????????????????????

I have just started trying root riot cubes on my clones and it has been 10 days and zero sign of a root anywhere, I have had the humidity at a constant 80-90%. The cubes have seemed to dry out a touch on the top but would get moisture on them when I sprayed the clones to keep them moist. What am I doing wrong??

Before this I used a aero cloner and got roots within 7 days, how long does it normally take for anyone else using RR??

Thanks

hey , i have used RR cubes for 2 years with 100% success rate , they take a while to push through , 9-10 days as they are firmer than rockwool or peatpellets, this is almost always.

Thanks I was hoping you would take a crack, i cut one open and it showed no sign of even bumping up where the roots would push through, literally no sign at all, also my temps are about 20-22 constantly which is a bit low.

was the stem where you made the incesion swollen ? when you opened up the cube ?, in my cutting room i only use cfl's and a small clip on fans, never bothered with water ph and still they never fail, obviously your not allowing them to dry out ? apart from that idk, are you using Clonex ?.....also you not replied to any pm's im paitent but cmon lol ?

I don't have any PM's showing, when did you send them? No the node at the bottom of the cutting did not show any swelling, they have been drying out, especially at the top. I have been using clonex for ages and it's a new bottle. My cloning station is jacked up, the only thing is I'm trying a new method. I will give them the time they need, essentially they only need to be ready in 3 weeks so I have time.

What were you asking in the PM?

Patience. Its taken up to 28 days for me to see roots, lets see pics? As long as they're standing they'll root.

dont let them dry out at all , mine are always standing in a tub with water thats changed daily so they cant dry out , i also mix a little clonex into the water(it seems to help) for the first 3 days , my ma used to root rose clones in water on her windowsill in root riot , if she could do it , cmon man lol, resending pm's fgs =D

What Led's are they and what size and how are they working out for them?? You feel like a puppet to the CIA and Mossad?? why Mubarak??

Mubarak cause hes on his own lol............well he was i see he has more fans today.............. like everyone is using led's but me lol, um dunno full spec will find out and get back, but there not cheap, no way im changing yet cant afford to, new house n all, i need the yield.....

Be honest, what sort of yield gram per watt do you normally get with the 600?? With high quality large panel LED you can easily get 1-1.5 gram per watt. I can post videos to show the potential.

I decided to get this one.....http://www.hydroponicshut.com/Pro Grow 550 Watt LED Grow Light

I feel this thing is defenitely going to give me same or more than the 600 did in a 4x4 space. And the heat is non existant, the electricity is half if I use the selective switch during flower which is all I will use it for and zero thermal signature.

I would be keen to find out what panels your mates are using and how they find them.

Oh and I see today that Mubarak will hang in till new elections, when will that happen????? America have kicked him to the bench now, they must be scrambling to get their next puppet ready!!!!!!

i have never run a 600w alone, i have 850w in the first , can get good coverage and penatration on 15 4ft plants in there yielding 3oz - 3.5oz dry if cheese, in the other is 1000w a 600+400w and i get 20 5ftish plants in there yeilding 3.5 -4oz dry. you are never gonna get that coverage or penatration with those panels, not ever, you would need to many and they cost to much, ok you can control your climate , no heat issues, infact you will prob need to send heat in , but the fact remains despite what manufactures say they are not powerful enough, i agree for a personal yeild in a closet , and you dont mind the high first cost outlay per panel then why not , led's are not new , i dont by into there is more development to come either, they can grow small short plants than can cluster some nice nuggets althought 65% of this is down to plant genes, i know you no this too, my friend, i wish they had the power, penatration and coverage, because the saving on electric and not having to run fans is a major factor in this, but if we are talking yeild versus yeild, its not a fair comparison because with a hid light you can grow larger plants and im stating the obvious to say that larger plants yeild more , i will try to find out where they are buying thier panels from .......

Is this per plant? Yes I agree that the light intensity and coverage has always been the real let down and when you explain your set up then I can see that they would never be able to compliment your grow style. I do however think that it will very much suite my grow style and space, and bare in mind I too grow for the same sort of commercial yields you look for. I have carefully selected moms that produce out of the ordinarily large single colas which can give me about 2oz dry per plant, 16 per 8 week cycle. So there is a lot of space between plants and the stems are usually basking in light. They also never hit more than 3-4 foot. With this style I think the 550W may well be enough.

The bottom line is that I will try them, if they work awesome, if they don't I just put the HID's back in and try to sell them to a smaller grower.

Dude root riots kick ass. Not as fast as an aero cloner but they are good. I have always had 100% success rate on these just give them about 14 days to be on the safe side. Heres some pics of monster roots below on some puppies that were made recently.

Thanks mate but I am converted for a while now, the threads a bit old but yeah I love em now. In a heated propagator I get roots in 7-10 days now, no looking back.
