Hi guys. First time posting here, this place is great.
My question is.. has anyone had success cloning in starter plugs? Thanks.

Roor riot coir plugs and clonex gel with a heated propagator have been a sure thing so far for me.

Thanks psyclone. Ha ha.. the perfect person to respond to this question. I have Sunleaves starter plugs, rootec cloning gel and a heated propagator-78-80 degrees&90-95% hum.- I think I'm on the right track here, thing is, I dont know about moisture content in the plugs. I water plugs before inserting cutting, now do I just leave it and let the humidity keep it moist? Someone told me to fill my prop.tray up with my 4 inch airstone and just enough water to keep the plugs wet(plugs are in seed start trays), then keep dome tightly sealed for 7-8 days before starting to crack it little by little for the next few days. I'm drowning my roots, I'm not drowning my roots... uuugh I'm confused. If a cutting can grow roots in water then how can plugs drown the roots? The whole plug drowning roots thing was a majority of answers I got from another forum. They must be wrong... it's not logical. I'm vegging/cloning White Widow/NL5 right now. My 1st time at cloning and I have a couple 6 days from cut but I dont know whats going on/what to be looking for. Oh and I'm doing the airstone, water in the tray method. Thanks again psyclone..

I keep the air holes on the lid closed for two days, then crack them open halfway, and lightly mist twice a day. I use a propagation light 24/24 til i see roots then 18/6 for a couple of days and when the root growth is bursting from the plug, plant them up. Typically around 95% hit rate, and they rarely even drop a leaf
