cloning in a dwc bubbler

hey guys i've just tried my first batch of clones through my bubbler cloner and i have noticed roots coming out one of the branch nodes but not at the bottom of the stem.. the roots are coming out a good 6 inches up from the bottom of the stem, is this ok? or should i cut the bottom of the stem off and just shorten my clone? it's going to be going in soil so i could just throw it in a deep small pot?

i've failed in rockwool 100% over 3 batches and now i see roots first attempt in a bubbler so i'm piss happy regardless :P but is cutting the bottom an issue?

i meant like there were 8 inches under the bubbler top and the roots grew out of the stem like 4" down. not at the base of the stem but more like half way through.

First, that is way too much stem below the pot. 2" is about all you need. Second, the roots will start much faster from a branch node. Trim the cuttings to where u have a node near the bottom.
