Cloning autos?

I took a couple cuttings off a clone I got for free of blueberry kush but I was never told weather it was the auto blue kush or not from dinafem, its like 4 weeks ahead of flowering in the same conditions as the other plants, and the two clones i took are growing...but...there flowering still...under 18/6
 
When I took the cuts there were only pre-flowers on the mother, the clones are growing up but with a main cola and miniature side buds, could I assume my plant is the auto blue kush? Will the clones be worth my time?

Cloning autos is a waste of time and money and energy. Genetics. No matter when you took the clones they will flower determined by genetic code from the ruderalis. So the branch you cloned will produce maybe a baby popcorn bud. If you had left it on the mother it would have produced far more.

Ya thats what I had pretty much assumed that was the case I still am not POSITIVE the mother is an auto just my theory at this point.
 
Autos have a predetermined life span. The mother and clones will all finish at the same time. Whether or not the cuttings are worth it is up to you. If they're ok size and are flowering go for it, usually not worth the time and $ but some auto strains with longer flowering times can do ok.

hotrodharley, has a valid point, the autos on the clock, its been bred to grow fast and none stop from veg to bud, trying to re-veg an auto is the hard part,
it would be fair to say, that if you can actually succeed cloning an auto ...then it would be a poor auto strain in the first place,
as my idea of an auto is that it would need at least 1/3rd of it makeup to be of the Ruderalis kind, but I too must reserve judgment,
I'm not saying its impossible, just illogical, .....
as I FIM my autos too ....for another 25-30% yield
 
You have to try before writing something off but yes this time what you hear is right. Autos are Not worth any part of cloning. My misses done 2 cherry bomb auto clones last year. Didnt go that well. Ended up with 2 14 inch main single stems and 10 inch buds. The other bomb auto clone ended up tiny and 1 bud on each the size of your thumb. If you want to gather info and document it its interesting but for yield dont waste your tine and energy.
 
I cloned a critical. I got 6 clones. Iv got some vegging and some flowering. The ones under 18/6 naturally shed the auto trait and look great but since its fall the ones outdoors are flowering but small. So so small.

We're did u get ur seed? An auto should flower under 24 hours of light hence the name auto not photo depending on the photo period the reason it's a waist to clone an auto is because if it is a true auto you will not be able to re veg
