Anyone have any info or thoughts about clones vs. seedlings? And how long do you think most strains can be cloned before they become weak? Just a thought... wondered what kinda feedback I'd get.

clones would deff be best to get a harvest quicker and alot of bud if you had a good amount of them and seedlings you'd be taking a chance every time if you didn't have feminized unlike knowing that your clone is a female , but it depends on your liking i suppose it wouldnt be so bad getting random bud sometimes it'd be fun but having clones from a mother plant is always nice

I never dealt with clones until this year. I wanted all girls (duh!) and a variety of strains and medicinal effects. It seems to take a few weeks for them to root well in the new soil I place them in and really start growing. Bought a SSSDH clone 3 weeks ago, it's only really started taking off this week. My other clones took a few weeks as well to get going. But I know they are female and I know they come from good stock

clones if you have a choice, as for how long you can clone? you will get tired of the strain way before you see a degrading quality in your strain.

If u over breed (seeds)some strains it can deteriorate. Not so with clones , a clone is an exact replica of the mother plant, so u could clone it a million times and it will still be exactly the same as the original mother.

I have been using the same clone stock for years. If anything, it has improved by choosing only the best to move forward.

I have read that, the cones will be a duplicate of the mother, so my next wonder is.... it's probably best to have a good strong mother and just clone her... do you think as you clone down the line from plant to plant to plant the strain loses it's so to say luster? I'm just curious on what people know and think. I've always used clones till just now I have seedlings and clones going.

That is what i am doing, choosing the best. Ok so another question if a plant hermies and you've already taken a clone will she hermie too? Isn't that decided in flowering stage?

It will become visible in flowering. It can happen during either phase but the evidence shows up in flowering. As far as cloning hermies, I believe that would hold true as seeds from these would either be female or hermie.
