clones question

hi i have some clones that i took 10 days ago in a heated propogator under cfls i have noticed today no roots are coming through the rockwool but new growth as all over them, fresh green leaves, does this mean they are ready for the lid off? also they seem like there are a couple of hard spots at the base of the stem just where it meets the rockwool is this normal or do they have problems? thanks

well i don't know about the lid but those hard spots are like warts they either get covered in soil and grow roots or they just sit there forever you could even scratch one off real easy but i wouldn't im just saying you could lol.

The base of your clones stem will form a 'callous' from which both roots and new growth hormones (auxin) come, so it wont be long till you see roots. The callous does have to fully form though so it could take another 7-10 days, just be patient and when you see the yellowing of the older leaves the roots have normally sprung!:bigjoint:

some of the lower leaves have yellowed about 8/30 have done this i left the lid off for 1 hour today and only a couple had drooped so i misted then replaced the lid thanks

The roots will come around day 14ish. The lower leaves may turn yellow just before roots come, the new growth is a sign that the roots are close.

look this over it's only 70ish post, My first clone look at post #8 and watch the videos (5 min each).
