Clones from clones from clones

I heard somewhere that its not advisable to take clones from plants grown from clones as they will not be as strong, any thoughts on this? How many generations could you go before it would start to hurt?

You can continue to clone a clone of a clone of a clone and so on.
Potency will only decrease IF......
A mother plant(the original or any clone you plan to clone) was reveged(Put into flowering and then back into vegetative).

There are strains out there that have been clone only for years. Seeds are not available. and the mothers would be 20+ years old now if you couldn't clone a clone.
:)

Good Luck
Hope i helped answer your question.

If you clink the picture in my signature. you will see that i have been cloning clones..... My mother BD is a clone from another mother grown from seed.

Does't matter, a clone is a lossless copy of the original. Clone away 'to your hearts content. If you want to find good info on cloning plants, your better off looking at sites NOT specific to cannabis.

i have more than a couple in my collection that i have been rearing for years and the original mothers are LONG gone, ...if you take care to take cuts only from healthy plants you should be fine.

peace, bozo
