I recently tried a new technique for my cuttings ive never done before. I was lollipopping my girls and used all the cuttings for clones and starting them at about 6" tall. instead of taking all the precise cautions everyone always takes i decided to experiment a bit. I wet some paper towel and put about 50 cuttings ontop of it then wet another few pieces and covered them for an hour.
I then cut a few inches off each one and then using my finger nail to split the stem up the center about 3/4" to create a Y. I soaked the rockwool started in nutristart plus and water then dipped the cuttings in a rooting powder and placed the cuttings under a dome. Today marks 6 days and they are exploading with roots. In past experiences of cloning i was always so precise and cutting the bottoms on a 45 degree angle and whatnot but have never gotten results like this!
They were never wilty or gimpy looking infact an hour or so after placed in the humidome thye were all spunky looking with leaves spread wide. i misted them every morning with water and BAM we got roots!
